Today we're opening the waitlist for Excellent — a local-first suite of business apps, operated by AI agents, that runs entirely on your own machine.

Excellent is one place to run the back office of a company: your tasks, your CRM, your hiring pipeline, your documents, and the integrations that tie them together. What makes it different is where it lives and who operates it.

It lives on your machine

The database is a file on your computer. There's no tenant to log into and nothing uploaded to our servers. The apps work offline, export anytime, and can't be held hostage — because we never hold your data in the first place.

Agents do the work

Excellent isn't a chat box bolted onto a SaaS product. It's built for autonomous agents. Named roles — shipper, verifier, triager, scribe, planner — claim tasks, move deals through pipelines, screen candidates, and keep things tidy, all while you supervise.

And they keep each other honest

Letting agents act is only safe if their work is checked. So a ship/verify gate is built into the core: every change is claimed, evidenced, and signed off by a different party before it's marked done. No agent can approve its own work. Trust comes from the protocol, not from hoping the model behaved.
