Questions about the price

Yes, for individuals. The app is a free download you run on your own machine, with no seats to buy and nothing metered for local verification. Team features are in early access; contact us to join.

From teams. Team features are in early access, and Deployment (hands-on setup, custom checks, evidence integrations, policy review and training with Excellent engineers) is a paid engagement starting at $10,000/month.

About eight hours a week of hands-on time — roughly a day a week — scheduled with you and spent on the priorities you set. It is a stated commitment, not unlimited access: anything beyond it is $275 an hour, and we only bill for extra hours you agreed to in writing first. The software licence is included at no extra charge, whether or not you ever hire us.

No. The first month's fee is due at signing, billing is monthly from there, and you can cancel at any time from your client portal — it takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for. There is no deposit, no minimum term, and no termination fee.

You bring your own model key — Claude, Codex, Gemini, or Grok. It's sealed on your machine and the agents bill to your account, never to us. Run it as hot or as light as you like.

Yes. Use it on real repositories, solo or with a team. Receipts and local state live in files you control and can export.

A small server you run yourself — Docker, DigitalOcean, or any VPS, typically $4–12/month billed by your provider, and we charge nothing on top. Excellent never hosts or sees it. Team sync is beta and it is hands-on: adding or removing a teammate is an edit to the server's device allowlist followed by a restart, not a link you send. Verification evidence does not sync yet, so a teammate cannot open the proof behind your result. The self-host guide walks through it →
