excellent, andexcellent-mcp, a Model Context Protocol server that gives any MCP-capable coding agent the same tools. excellent initsets a repository up for your agent: it writes an AGENTS.md and a.excellent/folder for project context and settings.- A review gate for agent work.
excellent-mcp review queuelists work waiting for verification that the current agent did not ship, andreview approverefuses to sign off on work the same agent shipped. excellent-mcp agent convergealternates a verifier and a shipper, sending rejected work back to be fixed, until the queue is verifiably done, stalls, or reaches its cycle limit.- Workers run through the coding agent you already use: Claude Code or Codex, picked with
--cli. excellent doctorchecks the runtime, local database, providers, installed agent CLIs and PATH in one read.excellent updateupdates the CLI in place.

Public beta
0.1.0-beta.0 – beta.3Beta –
Four prereleases on npm's beta channel while the release path was proven end to end.
Added
- The first public build of the CLI on npm, as
@excellent-so/cli@beta. - A one-line installer,
curl -fsSL https://excellent.so/install.sh | sh, with a PowerShell twin for Windows. If installing from npm doesn't work, it falls back to the same build on Excellent's download mirror. - The installer checks the mirrored build against its published SHA-256 checksum before installing it, and stops if they don't match.
