Use Excellent with a team
Excellent runs locally for one developer. A team can put the shared record on a small server it runs itself. Verification evidence stays on the machine that produced it — receipts do not cross between teammates yet.

That buys about eight hours a week of hands-on time, scheduled with you and spent on the priorities you set. It is a stated commitment, not unlimited access: more than that is $275 an hour, and we only bill for hours you agreed to in writing first. The first month’s fee is due at signing — there is no deposit — and there is no minimum term, so you can cancel at the end of any month you have paid for. The Excellent licence is included; there is nothing to buy.
A typical engagement covers:
- Installing Excellent in your environment.
- Connecting one AI agent.
- Connecting the repository and CI.
- Building a verified baseline.
- Identifying the largest recurring failure modes.
- Running at least one controlled optimization experiment.
- Delivering a promotion-ready candidate or a clear result showing that no safe improvement was found.
- A final report with the underlying work records and receipts.
An engagement does not promise an improvement. It promises a valid measurement and a serious attempt to find one, in every month of the engagement. What is actually agreed for a given month is the work we plan together; the signed agreement is what governs it.

Team sync shares a workspace across your team on a small server you run yourself — Docker, DigitalOcean, or any VPS. Excellent never hosts or sees it. Typical hosting cost is $4–12/month, billed by your provider, and we charge nothing on top. It is beta in the literal sense: joining happens at the command line, not in the app — the in-app switch takes a relay address but no workspace id, so it cannot join an existing workspace. A teammate runs sync setup --team-bundle with the line you send them, then sync pair, and sends you back the device line it prints. You paste that into the server’s device allowlist by hand, because there is no roster API. Deleting the line revokes the device, and the relay picks that up without a restart. Verification evidence does not sync yet, so a teammate cannot open the proof behind your result.
