Documents is where drafting and reference material live — next to your tasks, leads, and candidates rather than in a separate cloud tool your agents can't see.

Writing next to your data

The editor is AI-assisted, so you can draft, rewrite, and summarize in place. Because documents sit in the same workspace as everything else, they're part of the operation an agent can act on: an agent can read a document, cite it, and use it as context when it works a task or a deal.

Where it lives

In the app, Documents is the Docs tab of the development section. Content is stored in your local database, and the document APIs stay available to terminal tools and the MCP server, so a claude session in your terminal can read and reference your docs the same way the in-app agents do.

Like every other surface in Excellent, nothing here is uploaded — the words you write stay in the one local file you own.
