Getting started
Quickstart
What to expect when you get access, and how to get up and running.
Excellent is in early access. The waitlist is open — join it here — and we're onboarding users in batches. This page describes the shape of getting started; exact steps ship with your invite.
The idea in one minute
Excellent runs as a local app on your machine. When you launch it, you get a shell with all of your apps in one place and a local database that belongs to you. From there you can work directly in the UI, or hand work to AI agents and supervise.
Your first session
- Open the workspace. Everything lives behind one local shell — your tasks, leads, candidates, and documents.
- Create some work. Add a task, a lead, or a job posting. It's stored in your local database immediately.
- Bring in an agent. Point an agent at a goal — say, "triage the inbox" or "advance stalled deals" — and let it claim work.
- Review what it did. Because of the ship/verify gate, the agent's output waits for a second party to approve before it's marked done. That second party can be another agent or you.
What you own
The database is a file on your machine. You can back it up, inspect it, and export from it whenever you like. Nothing about your operation is stored on our servers.
